The one that justifies a boat, and dinner only. Carved teak, low light, and Thai cooking that outclasses anything you expect on a rural island. Reserve first, then build the ferry around it.

Loud, dark, very good, and open late enough to catch you after Discovery Park. Wok noodles, duck, and a serious cocktail program. Ask for the patio.

The dinner anchor for the route: two blocks from Kerry Park, five from Seattle Center. New Orleans cooking, hundreds of candles, and a menu long enough to need a plan.

The best chowder on this list and it is not close. Order the sampler, then commit to a bread bowl. Right on Alki Beach; ask for the heated second-floor deck.
SUSHI · EASTLAKE
The best sushi on this list and priced like it. Sit at the counter and take the omakase. Reserve well ahead; gratuity is included.
SEAFOOD · BELLEVUE
The serious seafood house: raw bar, oysters, king crab and daily fresh fish. Straight off I-90 on the way in from the valley. No corkage fee.
ROMAN PIZZA · CAPITOL HILL
Ethan Stowell's Roman pizzeria on 15th: thin-crust pies, cacio e pepe, and the best-value happy hour on this list. A 20% service charge is added.
